In-Person Tutoring for Kindergarten to Grade 6

I am a B.Ed. graduate and trained Ontario educator offering in-person tutoring for Kindergarten to Grade 5 students. I support children in building strong foundational skills, confidence, and a love for learning through engaging and hands-on instruction.

My tutoring is aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and tailored to each child’s unique learning needs. I specialize in math and introductory coding, drawing on my experience working with students through Ontario Tech coding camps, as well as classroom-based teaching experience.

I offer support in:

  • Math (number sense, problem-solving, confidence-building)

  • Coding and computational thinking (age-appropriate, beginner-friendly)

  • Literacy (reading, writing, phonics)

  • Homework support and skill reinforcement

My approach is patient, inclusive, and interactive, using visual, hands-on, and real-life strategies to help students understand concepts deeply and feel successful.

Whether your child needs extra support or enrichment, I am committed to helping them grow academically and confidently.

I believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood. My tutoring is:

  • Individualized and goal-oriented

  • Aligned with the Ontario Curriculum

  • Hands-on, visual, and engaging

  • Inclusive and responsive to diverse learning needs

I work closely with parents to support each child’s academic and emotional growth.

This includes:

  • Identifying emotions and learning calming strategies

  • Building attention and focus through structured routines

  • Supporting transitions and task persistence

  • Encouraging positive behaviour through clear expectations and reinforcement

  • Creating a safe, supportive learning environment

My approach is patient, respectful, and strength-based, helping students feel secure while developing independence and self-control.
